He was gone either way. Only reason he is not yet in England is because he wanted to finish the Libertadores campaign.

Y como dato adicional, la Séptima de Boca será mayor de edad. Incluso ganándola en 2025 habrán tenido que esperar 18 años por ella.

To think Boca almost meme-won the libertadores playing like absolute shit and having a god-tier PK keeper.

The coach at 1-1 and the stupid red card at 1-2 to leave them 10v10 really fucked the momentum to get to a PK shootout though.

It’s like Paraguay in the 2011 Copa America. It really is a disservice to the game to win a tournament every stage in penalties

Like i get it’s a part of the game but if a World Cup team were to win every knockout round by penalties there would be a change in the rules. Hell croatia went to ET every stage until finally getting exposed by the French.

“Disservice to the game” When nations that are relative minnows dare to have success once every generation lol

I don't agree. It's not exactly easy to pull those off, if you're so defensively goood that can pull it off more power to you. Eventually others figure out a way and you'll be pulled down a few pegs.

What the fuck are you comparing lol Paraguay actually was a solid team back then, they knew how to control the intensity of the game and went toe to toe against everyone but Uruguay. And Croatia had the best midfield in the World Cup and played some top class football.

At least learn how to watch a game man. Not every team that goes through on penalties or close results is bad, that's just us.

They can easily win sudamericana next year

If we actually manage to have a proper team next year, I can definitely see Olimpia playing against Boca at some stage of the cup. We missed qualification to the Libertadores for the first time in 8 years, the team was stuck with poor form in most matches after going out of this years' Copa.
