Home automation is the residential extension of building automation.

It is automation of the home, housework or household activity.

Home automation may include centralized control of lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), appliances, security locks of gates and doors and other systems, to provide improved convenience, comfort, energy efficiency and security.

Was looking into ways to hook up my pellet stove via Home assistant. Got A Shelly1 Relay and a Shelly H&T integrated into home assistant. If I hook up the H&T to power it will update every 5 minutes. That seems to be enough is the scheme of things as I don't see the pellet stove warming up an area in less then 5 minutes. In your opinion would you do something else? Current stove configuration doesn't allow a clean installation of a normal thermostat.

I'm not sure if home assistant allows you to create a virtual thermostat entity or something like that using a separate temperature sensor and smart relay, but if it does, then this will work.
