I mean... I suppose it depends on how it affects the players mentals. Hopefully the team has prepped them for this, and it helps light a fire under their ass. I have a worry that it will do the opposite and they will crumble...

If Everton fans were to take any positive from this, it is that nothing has united them and club like this for a really long time. Admittedly, that means Moshiri can enjoy a club vs corrupt league narrative rather than the club vs corrupt owner narrative that they've had for the last few seasons, but its obviously good for Everton's competitive aspirations. I expect Goodison to be one of the more difficult grounds to play at for the rest of the season.
It really depends how the team takes this. I'm excited to see how they fair against an injury ridden and tired united. Quite a few of Uniteds starting 11 will have not had a break in the last week, I'm not sure how many of Evertons are, but if they are able to capitalize on the chance, they could set themselves on a good path to get back out of the relegation zone.
They could also be demoralized and crumble completely. Time will only tell.
I think it's just Pickford, Mykolenko, Branthwaite and Gueye from the likely starters for Sunday who have played during the IB. Only really Chermiti and Patterson from the bench too
That's a pretty good case scenario. I'm a united fan but I hope you guys show good spirits and fire tomorrow, and I hope that keeps throughout the season. Truly don't want to see you relegated like this.
100% on the narrative thing.
Might not be a popular take amongst Everton fans but I think having the three promoted teams this season all being absolutely torrid will really give them that extra push over hill when it comes to the business end of the season. I have faith they’ll stay up.
Perhaps don't break the rules next time?
It's exactly proportionate. Nobody cried when it happened to us.
It's ok, we'll gift you 3 Sunday to help you back on your feet
