I personally use Davinci Resolve because it has a strong feature set while being free.

in terms of FOSS I believe you can actually use blender as a video editor if you set it up right.

Second this. While it’s not open source, they are very community oriented, have a lifetime pricing model for their studio version (I‘m still using my 8 years old da vinci resolve dongle) and are overall a very fair company in my experience. I love their products and the software is just as good as theirs hardware.

I use KDenlive. It's FOSS. I find it easy to use. And it has all the features I need.
