With TN reminding me that YNTCD is 3 years old, how would you say it has aged? Are you happy Taylor spoke out, does it still work for pride month with her relative silence now? What do you think?

It's a fun bop, but not the first song I think of when it comes to pride. While I love Tay's music, it does feel a little less genuine, and performative. Lover feels like ages ago, though. Isn't YNTCD 4 years old, not 3?

Oh damn, I was wrong with the year.

Yeah that's how I feel, it meant a lot when it first came out, but the lack of continuing substance makes it feel a bit cheaper. Not standing up for lgtbq on her tour especially, the silence has been disappointing to me honestly

I loved it when it came out. It was one of my anthems that year! But now that it's aged a little bit, it's lost some of the magic for me (especially after the whole Matty situation...). I do still listen when it comes on shuffle, but I don't actively seek it out or anything.

Same for me, was a ton of fun, but now Lover ranks towards the bottom for me. None of the music was very lasting to me

tbh i never bought her as an ally, so her just forgetting the whole subject doesn't provoke the kind of scorn i have for, say, target

sadly this is where she left it. I'm a huge swiftie, but this is a black mark for her, she made it such a huge feature being an ally during Lover, but then just dropped it. It all feels like a huge capitalistic move for her
