Ha, I just upgraded my 1st gen HDMI card to the 3rd gen, and I figured I should keep the 1st gen one around for exactly this reason
Framework
Discussion around the Framework mission of building products that last longer by making them upgradeable, customizable, and repairable. Consumer electronics can be better for you and for the environment.
I've done this with a teacher's Macbook for a HDMI port!
What's the point of buying mac if they don't have basic functionality
Avalible software
What's the point of buying an x86 laptop if the battery life is trash?
Macs have their benefits, and regular laptops have their benefits.
Framework 13 amd has a good battery life
You can easily get 8-10hour(depending on use case)
I know, I was just exaggerating the fact that x86 systems generally have worse battery life compared to ARM, just like the other guy exaggerated the fact that MacBooks lack some important features.
Modern Problems Require Modern Solutions
Don't shame Macs for not including enough outdated USB ports that have been discontinued in 2016
If USB-A is still "outdated", tell me why do almost all modern computers still include at least 2 USB-A ports?
Because you keep praising USB A for no apparent reason and blame all problems on USB C devices that are trying to make your life better. You specifically and individually are the reason billions of people are still struggling with the upgrade
ah this makes me happy that I am not a Mac user :)
That’s hilarious
Uhhh…a lot of things are USB C, welcome to the future.
Not my mouse 😔
Neither my mouse nor external HDD cable are USB-C (I got both of them this year only, it's a bit of a shame companies aren't moving to USB-C).
Wow lol
Also like..Surface 1, ,2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 suck, but 9, with its dual display out through USB C plus mag..really bad mag charger, but I digress, is somewhat more useful in desktop mode than Air..but I do not use it over Air 15. But it is a consideration, it is touch screen, with pen, with dual display output.
And if a wire is too short you can extend it by building a snake of USB-C expansion cards.
😂😂😂
