Data Hoarder

We are digital librarians. Among us are represented the various reasons to keep data -- legal requirements, competitive requirements, uncertainty of permanence of cloud services, distaste for transmitting your data externally (e.g. government or corporate espionage), cultural and familial archivists, internet collapse preppers, and people who do it themselves so they're sure it's done right. Everyone has their reasons for curating the data they have decided to keep (either forever or For A Damn Long Time (tm) ). Along the way we have sought out like-minded individuals to exchange strategies, war stories, and cautionary tales of failures.

So I've maxed out my 7XL with 20TBs and looking for advice on expanding this. Can anyone recommend a way to expand my storage (externally I suppose) using a SAS Expander inside the 7XL?

Thanks in advance

I have the exact same problem lol, except I have 12-16TB drives in mine.

I got a set of these to allow me to place 3 more drives on the "floor" of the case:

That's not a bad idea! How do you screw the mount on the floor of the case? Or is it free standing?

Freestanding, but the pieces interlock into one another and it's all rubber-like so it's shock absorbing.
