New to arranging a shuttle and wondering a bit how it works. I’m looking at parking on the FR301, then hiking the second half of passage 31 and the first half of passage 32.

Do folks typically just hike for good cell coverage to call an Uber (and hope they’ll be okay with driving out on some random fire road to take me back to my car)?

There are some local trail angels that may give you a ride. Post on FB. I think the group is called arizona trail class of 2023.

I would just figure out a way to start and finish your hike on paved roads and plan to hitchhike.

Personally, I like getting my hitch over with at the start of a hike so I don't have to worry about being delayed getting home.

I just walked there from where the trail crosses the paved road. It's less than a mile and you can walk the whole way on the soft shoulder. Someone there offered me a ride back to the trail so I didn't have to walk back.

I’m in the area, depending on day I could give you a ride back to 301. Are you looking at a day hike?
