I like that every news article mentions this
I initially wrote "how is it newsworthy anymore" but really as long as that's how twitter communicates with news orgs, that's twitter's official statement about anything they're asked
I wonder how those people still working there feel
Sometimes being at a company in the end times can be fun and chaotic. You have a sense of comeraderie with everyone who's going through the same thing. With the amount of overwork Musk mandates to keep his ego going, I could see everyone pretending to work hard while he's around, then fucking around, looking for new jobs, etc the rest of the time.
Even then, there are also people who just can't afford to get fired (for whatever reason), so that sensation of dread is always keeping them from quitting and searching for something else.
The secret ingredient is crime.
I still can’t believe how much of an idiot Elon has been managing this. How many drugs was he on when he submitted the bid.
Narcissistic ego is his drug.
This happened in Singapore earlier this year too. A friend of mine was affected. HR pretty much just sent out an email and told them to pack their shit and go home.

Elon insists everyone stop WFH and come physically into the office, but then doesn’t pay rent and there’s no office to go into. Flawless logic.
It’s so overtly ridiculous at this point.
Elon bought Twitter to ruin it because he didn’t like the direction the conversation was going there. He didn’t like the Town Square discussing anything to do with how capitalism has reached dystopian levels of capture by the richest and how something must be done. This is now he got the Saudis to help him buy in, because they wanted it dead before there could be another Arab Spring.
Elon doesn't want to pay rent. Why should I pay for Twitter Blue? I heard sending DMs are not allowed anymore for non-verified. So stupid
