But can it run ... a City Skylines 2 city with half a million residents without slowing down to 8-12 seconds per 1 ingame minute ?

don't be silly... of course not

Good thing the game is designed around building to 100k max then

Seems like a very crappy city sim

Are everyone of those residents playing Crysis as well?

Liquid nitrogen is gonna be insane. I'd like to see derbauer make some sort of one off direct die thing and see what he can get without exotic cooling.

Id say no more then 6Ghz. All Ryzens cap out at 6Ghz on LN2.

Cool. No one that uses thread ripper. Care boutique cb score

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

boutique cpu indeed

Wouldn't 96 cores be at least 50% faster before even taking into account the architectural upgrade? Maybe memory bottleneck?

Cinebench? 😴💤💤💤

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

Now what’s the realistic score that the lower-mid end ones will get?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

If I've learned anything from Gamers Nexus it's that Threadripper would be faster with more Xs and higher numbers. Maybe go with 79950x3dfx

So can it run Crysis at 60 FPS with the CPU only?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

considering that the 3990X was able to run crysis at "OK" fps, it wouldn't suprise me if it actually was able to.

That's hot!

Impressive, almost a 1000W CPU at full load.
