I am about to buy RM2 - i am using a lot my pages documents on MacBook, so my question is - will it be able to transfer and work on them on Rm2?

Now i use my ipad with Apple pen - but it heats up very fast while notetaking and it’s heavy to be around with me.

Still my best thing is that it’s all sync - notes and pages and i can continue work from Mac. Looking for the same work from RM2 - is it possible?

No! You can't work with Pages docs on the rM. It doesn't have the app, it's not an iOS device. You can write notes on the rM only (you can do some editing on the remarkable desktop app, if you sync the device via rM's cloud service).

  • The tablet syncs with the reMarkable cloud.
  • The desktop and mobile apps work by talking to the reMarkable cloud. They do not talk directly with the tablet, even if it's plugged in via USB cable.
  • The third-party file sharing plugins work entirely in the cloud. The tablet never talks directly with dropbox, google, or microsoft.

The only things I've seen the tablet talk directly to, other than the reMarkable cloud, are a reMarkable server collecting some kind of analytics files, and NTP servers (to make the tablet's clock correct).
