Meanwhile my chromecast says it’s undiscoverable on all apps aside from google home. Factory reset, tally mark the wall, and repeat in 6 hours when it does it again.
OMG I thought it was just me. Went insane trying to help mom with it. Got it fixed then another round of WTF. Not sure which gen it is, but was thinking of taking out next time I need target practice and giving her a modified fire stick. Just not sure it'll be more stable.
My dad had the first generation of chromecast and it was on constantly. Turn off the tv, it’s still casting/available, on constantly, never had a problem. Mines 4 years old and has been getting worse every year. Just smells like planned obsolescence.
I have an older one too. Definitely not first Gen but it work like a charm too!
I envy you, I had to factory reset again since.
idk maybe you secretly have 8 identical TVs and haven't noticed?
That's what happened to me
I'm pretty baked and ended up clicking the x in your screen shot like five times before realizing I had to swipe to go back.
I should have added a small picture of dirt to make people swipe their screen too!
