I just ordered a new AMD mobo and like I said, plan on converting my existing mobo to a standalone pc. This will be a dedicated windows pc (im a linux guy) that I only probobly need a few times a year. It will be off, and disconnected from power when not in use.

I understand there are some gotchas around cmos battery depletion that might bite me? I assume I have the worst board for this type of bug as it was a pre-order when the company launched and Ive never needed/bothered to mod it for the battery fix...To be honest, I never really looked into it as it didnt seem to affect my use case..but maybe I need to worry about it now??
