In 2016, Joe thought Brexit was a great idea. But he soon realized his dream of retiring in Spain was going be limited by his new status as a non-EU citizen.

Rarely do we get to see such direct comeuppance for shitty behaviour

They still blame other people for "not thinking about people like us" though, which must be a coping mechanism
