He isn't in the traditional sense. Anyone that completes a master than a doctorate can be known as a doctor. It really is the ultimate ego boost.

He' s an ex IBM hack. Ran IBM's semiconductor business into the ground before joining GF. Gkbalfoundries is relying on legacy tech, no development to speak of. Company does frequent layoffs and has a usually high attrition rate..
