I'm using darkly-pureblack and it's just such a pleasure to look at. Such an improvement already from the 0.17.X days a month ago!

It looks awful on mine. The text is so freaking hard to read. All of the dark themes seem to suffer from the same readability issue. That said, i386 doesn't seem to be affected and I'm in love. 😍

how do you get them to actually stick?
I change my theme, save, and boom, it changes back - every time, chrome on macos, safari on ipad & iphone.

Got to click the save button after changing I believe

Hello again - I was just having a similar problem and I was able to fix it by clearing cookies & cache for lemmy.world in my browser. Maybe give that a shot?

Hey cool! I haven't upgraded my instance yet, but I'm happy to hear there's a pure black theme in 0.18.1. My instances all run black backgrounds partially for aesthetic reasons, partially for historical reasons (fbxl.net has had a black background since like 2006), and partly because it looks amazing on oled. It's neat I'll probably be able to just run a default skin by default.
