I'm about to buy a new laptop with RX 6850m xt but I just realized that I didn't check if afmf works with laptop GPUs. There is very little info about it so I want to ask here. Also If there is some hacky way to get it like modded drivers let me know.

There’s no driver for 6000 mobiles GPU yet, you have to wait until official release. If you planning to buy Legion 7 6850m XT its amazing laptop!

Support for things like this is generally by the GPU architectural generation... its a 6000 series GPU based on the desktop die so it should support everything that does just at a lower power profile.

I have a 7600s and so far non of the drivers allow FMF. They gave in and gave RDNA2 support before giving it to all of RDNA3 (I got a 7600s cause they said it would be exclusive tech).

You would need a 120Hz+ display to get any vague benefit out of it to begin with. It is not very impressive compared to FSR/DLSS framegen.

My laptop has the 6700m, and there is no support for AFMF anywhere in the drivers :(
