How do you expect it to be free?

Do you think the creator should work for free and get no benefit? Oftentimes what happens is the creator sells the product or idea for a quick payout and then the company that bought the idea or the product will get the opportunity to make a profit off of the "loan" they made to the creator. The company that buys an idea or a product has a much greater ability to market and develop so there is additional benefit as well.

But no capitalism bad.
