It's working like normal. I'm guessing it won't work for long.

Uninstalled it and it doesn't appear to be on the play store any more. Tbh, I'm just waiting for RiF for lemmy, then I'll be set until lemmy bows to corporate overlords in about 14 years...

RIF totally stopped working for me. It just came up with an error. I patched it with Revanced and it's working now. I only use it for 2 subs that I engage with because they haven't migrated and probably won't. I'm getting into Lemmy. I would love a LIF app, though. I like Thunder, but it's not as nice as RIF was.

jerboa lemmy app isn't too bad. its simple like rif. mostly all text based

Liftoff and Thunder are also good. If they would combine all 3, then it would be a perfect app.

What does Revanced do with RIF? I've only used Revanced for youtube before.

Isn't that new client Id going to be subject to the API fees?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I believe the idea is that you're using the personal API at a low enough volume that it's free.

It's been pretty much fully functional for a while. Signed me out then just worked again. No one has any idea what's going on.

Just gave it a try myself and you're right, down to the signing out/back in thing. Interesting.

Not sure if I'll go back if Reddit changes their policies, though. I've actually found myself engaging in posts far more here than I have over the last couple years on Reddit. The smaller communities make it much easier to do so without being drowned out.

Someone said it has to do with a private API key. Somehow, it is able to load .json files. It's a mixed bag with being able to login or only usable while logged out.

I am able to do neither though. Why is it that some people can still use the app and others can't? It doesn't matter if I'm logged in or not, nothing loads.

because spaz pushed this through without time for proper implementation.
