Am I understanding this correctly? Instead of a light beam that’s been refracted through several lenses, they’re effectively “printing” the design on resin and stamping it out? (Someone pls correct my misunderstanding)

Yes, if photolithography is "slide projection", nano-imprint lithography is "stamping".
