Posts created in portrait mode automatically rotate to landscape mode. This is something across Lemmy that seems to be known. To address, the image must have the correct metadata, not just rotated in your camera roll before uploading.

Man I hope this takes off, I'm over reddit haha. I'm from Boston and I've been obsessed with sailing for a few years now.. Unfortunately there won't be much sailing for me this season since the boat I spend the most time on is on the hard this season. I'll probably have a bunch of dinghy sailing posts eventually though.

Here in Boston we have an awesome public sailing club on the Charles River that has a bunch of Mercury centerboards and and keelboats. $400 for unlimited access and classes, plus a free summer program for kids from low income households. It's amazing

I’m with you, left Reddit and hoping to find similar minded people here. Been renovating my 1977 sailboat for the last 5 years, hoping to sail her later this year.

We had a family issue that delayed the plans (grandma needed care) but I think next year is the year we quit our jobs and start searching for a boat that can take us around the world. Hope you can keep us posted on the progress of getting yours in the water!
