Middlesbrough in the league under Carrick are 20-2-4 in the period from the start of October to the end of March, and 4-4-9 in April, May, August and September, plus a loss and a draw in the playoffs.

Conclusion - Michael Carrick is a vampire that can only do well when it isn't sunny

TIL the Championship is stacked with PL teams from over the last 10-20 years.

Well that’s two of the 3 promoted sorted

And two of the next relegated in the 24/25 prem season.

It's the Championship. I wouldn't count on anything just yet.

Leicester at least are probably the strong team to get relegated in years - so can absolutely see them coming back up

Still shocking they got relegated with the team they had

Brendan exiled Soyuncu and Vestergaard (who, to be fair, was pretty widely mocked by fans).

He insisted on playing Danny Ward in goal when he was absolutely gash.

He didn't give Iheanacho enough of a shot up front.

Couple that with the fact that we basically unable to sign players for two windows. We signed average players onto long contracts when the going was good assuming that we'd have european football to pay for them. Then we goofed european qualification three years in a row (first to the CL, then the Europa, then to the Conference), so now we've got these terrible players (Daniel Amartey, Perez etc etc) on these big contracts and not the bucks to back them up, so there's no space in the wage budget to bring anyone in.

Couple that with injuries and the Brendan exiles and suddenly we're playing Ndidi in central defense (when Maresca is basically playing him as an attacking midfielder).

Vestergaard is revisionism. He was horrible, at least whenever I watched him. And as you said, not a single Leicester fan liked him

We bottled the top 4 twice in the last matchday in a row, once against man united and once vs chelsea, felt so terrible

I think there's an argument for the best team to ever get relegated honestly.

Find it hilarious how Preston and Southampton both have negative goal difference somehow

Damn what happened to QPR?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

Ainsworth miles out of his depth.

Ipswich getting a 2nd promotion in a row and doing it so easily is astonishing.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

Clearly the top 2 are sorted already unless they implode, Ipswich will finish top though I think.

Wednesday going down unless a miracle happens.

Still plenty of time for Rooney to get Birmingham up there. Right? Right?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

Wow Ipswich town under Kieran McKenna look good

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

gap from 2nd to 3rd is bigger then the gap from 3rd to 21st, best league in the world

Right when gambling became legal in my state over the summer, I put $200 on leicester to win the league at +500 (sorry American odds). Feeling good about that bet lol
