A place to discuss pro-conservative stuff

  1. Be excellent to each other. Civility, No Racism, No Bigotry, No Slurs, No calls to violences, No namecalling, All that good stuff, follow lemm.ee's rules, follow the rules of your instance, etc.

  2. We are a Pro-Conservative forum. Posts must have a clear pro-conservative, or anti left-wing bias. We are interested in promoting conservatism and discussing things that might get ignored elsewhere. All sources are acceptable, however reputable sources with a reputation for factual reporting are preferred.

  3. Dissent is allowed in the comments, but try to be constructive; if you do not agree, then provide a reason which is backed up by references or a reasonable alternative interpretation of the provided facts. That means the left wing is welcome to state their opinions, but please keep it in good faith.

A polite request, not a rule, if you feel the need to report a comment, please don't reply to it.

All the rules are effectively staying the same, just wanted to clarify some stuff.

Rule 1: Follow Lemm.ee Rules. This means no abusive language or bigotry. No N-words, no f-slurs, no r-slurs, none of that.

Rule 2: Posts must be (American) right wing. There are plenty of places to post left wing and centrist stuff, this isn't one of them. This does not include comments. Be as lefty as you want in the comments section.

This is my first time being a mod, and I'm trying to avoid being a power tripping asshole mod. So bans are short, and I try to give out warnings first. So far I've only given out 1 day bans, and it seems to work.

The goal of this sub is so right wing posts don't get buried under left wing ones, which is what was going on in the lemmy.world sub.

Does this all make sense? Do they feel unfair or too lenient?

Having been a gaming admin, your approach sounds similar to what's always worked on my game servers.

Warn repeatedly, short kicks at first, with increasing time until you reach full ban.

Of course, this is all subject to current circumstance. Some things are insta-kick.

Part of our thinking is that banning is always an option, so why not take the time to maybe get people on board.
