[Mercogliano] I've had a few people ask about this. Fact is, because the NYR have traded 19 total picks since Drury took over in 2021, they don't have much ammo to move up. (twitter.com)

Per Mercogliano, apparently the Rangers are looking to trade down from 23. Thing is, will 23 have to be packaged with the Goodrow contract to clear out space for guys like Chytil to get pay raises? Drury's going to have some real work on his hands this summer trying to build a competitive roster in the last two year's of Igor's deal, and if he doesn't, I think we might be seeing 31 in another sweater come the 2025-26 season.
