Fun fact: Perth gets more rain than Melbourne. We just get it all out of the way in winter and then enjoy nine months of great weather.

Yes, and amazingly we get more rain than London too.
Sunshine state and best-coast. (In 2017 WA had the highest avg daily sunshine in the country)
We really need it though, its going to be a very hot and dry summer. More rain now helps the plants and animals make it through the tough summer to come.
