Are there any rules for the SDF instance? Or can you just post and say whatever you want, as long as it isn't illegal?

Also, is the server for this instance located in the US or EU?

Rules are on a community-by-community basis for the most part. There are rules for all of SDF.org, but they're pretty simple

The server is in the US. There's a seperate instance for the EU.

As stated, check each community sidebar. Much of the instance rules tend to be akin to "don't be a dick", which means don't be intentionally disruptive, hostile, or discriminatory.

As far as I can tell Instance rules are basically don't do anything illegal and don't be an asshole. Each community has their own rules as well.

This is the US Server, the EU server is at lemmy.sdfeu.org.
