The Festival events were not really on my radar, but now that I'm looking at those alternate arts, I'm suddenly interested.
The only Historic deck I have is Zombie Hunt, so, uh, not sure how good my chances are for that one....

If you have some Izzet lands then Izzet Wizards is an easy craft. Only need a playset of Soul-Scar Mage and Dreadhorde Arcanist plus 1-2 Flame of Anor for nonland rares, everything else is common or uncommon

Yeah that's it! Though I'd run Soul-Scar over Delver if you have the wildcards because of how common Bowmasters is. The nice thing about Wizards is that none of them die to a single Bowmasters even if they do flash it in response to a cantrip.
Just wanted to circle back to say thanks for the tip, I did craft Izzet Wizards and only dropped one game (to a mill deck that had 3 [[Ruin Crab]]s by turn 2) on my way to getting the five wins. I made do with the lands I had but crafted the Soul-Scar Mages. Partway through I remembered that some of this weekend's Arena Championship competitors were playing the same deck, and made some tweaks to get closer to their lists. Don't know whether the decks I faced were supposed to be competitive, but I saw zero Bowmasters or One Rings so probably not.
Nice! Wizards is a very efficient deck for how cheap it is and the rares transfer over to other decks very well so it's always what I recommend. But I'm also biased since I love blitz style decks so I'm glad it worked out for you too!

Yes please :P I can't wait for this again. I didn't play as much of it as I wanted so I'm glad it's coming back so soon.
Arena Championship 4 October 7–8 Format: Historic and Wilds of Eldraine Draft (both Best-of-Three with sideboard)
Also very excited about this. Hopefully the coverage of this event is good because I think it's two pretty decent format choices.
