I'll get us started...

I don't like the show's version of the Blackfish. Not to say I dislike the performance at all...but I feel like the show writers tried to build the Blackfish up at the expense of Edmure and that really rubs me the wrong way.

What's your unpopular show opinion?

The plot line of Brienne of Tarth got changed for the worse. In the books, when being pursue on a ship, she dives from the ship, climbs a cliff, and causes an avalanche that destroys the pursuing fleet. How could they take this ultimate badass move away from her?

Brienne's Feast plot was great her plot line and Lady Stoneheart should have been in season 4/5. (Along with Nimble Dick).

The ensemble cast were getting burnt out by the demands of the show. D and D certainly fucked up the franchise, but competent show runners would have had to rush the ending as well. It wouldn't have sucked as bad, but it still would have been rushed.

The after show extra where they said "Dany kind of forgot about the iron fleet" was when I stopped caring and started watching like it was a plot synopsis on Wikipedia. Which was a pretty good choice cause that's how it felt like it was made.

@Casey_Masterpiece @MushuChupacabra The sad thing is that the "Inside the Episode" explanation often undermined far better explanations being posted by apologist fans.

Big one here. Where the plot finished was mostly good. I actually like the last episode it was the garbage fire of the episodes before it that made everyone happy to hate it. Tyrion saying that Bran has the best story to tell makes sense to sell to anyone who wasn't part of it. Bran has a lot to show for his journey while everyone else isn't really any different physically from the common people.

My opinion of the show in general is wildly unpopular. I thought it was terrible from ep1. I thought it was rife with bad/terrible acting AND writing. I didnt finish the first season until years later, when i gritted my teeth to watch through it. I managed to arrest my hater nature, and began to sort of enjoy it for what it was... then the terrible last two seasons happened.

I do believe at the end of the day, that the more terrible aspects of the show were due to first it being an unknown entity.. and the network went cheap on the first couple of seasons to hedge their bets. lmost all of the rest of it was due to D&D.

A couple of weeks ago, I decided I would, against my better judgement give HOTD a shot. It was not as bad, but the effects were so terrible I turned it off. How a network can murder a golden goose twice over is past me.

I know not many people are as critical as I am of this stuff... I dont begrudge other people enjoying the shows. Its just not for me.

Not trying to be a dick here I promise, but about the special effects...

I think considering they're working on a TV budget (albeit a very large one) that some of the things they're able to come up with look sensational.

I watch the first couple seasons or so and couldn't stand it.

It was just like Lost which had ended a couple years earlier. I saw the writing on the wall early on it when it kept on introducing new characters and then killing them off rendering their stories meaningless.

All the gore and soft core porn was like jingling keys in front of a baby. I love porn and blood doesn't offend me, but I found it in extremely poor taste. Like they went through every episode in post production asking themselves where can we shamelessly add boobs to appease fans. If I want porn I'll go to porn hub thanks.

My feelings were vindicated by the last season. Told you so.

Huh, the season 1 "sexposition" complaint is legit. But out of 11 major character, the show/books kill off 3 in first 6 seasons/5 novels. 2 more die in the second to last episode of the show. The first 3 deaths push the plot forward in meaningful ways. I'm thinking I disagree.
