I've always loved the ideas VE brings to the game, but the balance can get questionable. More than once I've started a playthrough to find the new VFE mod that just released is more problematic than its worth.

If you use the VE suite, are there any you avoid? I'm looking to start a new modded playthrough soon, but it's been a while and I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts.

Same. I loved the idea of what VE does but playing the game was just a confusing mess for me. I stick to the same 8 mods I always use.

I dont really like Splits and Schism, find it too much of a hassle

I never use Vanilla Mechanoids Expanded. The rate at which mech ships appear on the world map is nuts. Or the succulents sub-mod, I don't see the point of it.

Mechanoids is fun for the factories and you can turn the ships off. I tried it with them enabled at first and it was such a pain I haven't turned it back on since.

Agreed on the Mechs, but I love having tons of plants to put in pots. So I'm a fan of the succulents mod. :)
