For everyone missing Apollo, give wefwef a go! It feels just like Apollo but for Lemmy!
Apollo - A beautiful app built for power and speed.
Since many of us are trying to avoid giving reddit any traffic, this space can be used to discuss Apollo, our dreams of seeing it join the Fediverse, and to give our appreciation to @[email protected] for his incredible work.
Memmy is also a great Apollo-like app for iOS. They say they’re hoping to launch it in the App Store today, but if you can’t wait here’s the TestFlight link: https://testflight.apple.com/join/6jaRU6rD
Sounds like some tokens broke when Reddit pulled the plug. Still no access to content, but Christian has fixed the app itself in case anyone still wants to tip, refuse a refund, get the wallpapers, or download their data.
It’s over
I could not imagine to have this feeling about losing an app, truly sad. But we build something new here!
Yes. What we have got here is pretty sweet
I'm not ashamed to admit that this is a significant moment in my life. It's the end of an era. It has had significant impacts on my habits.
Agreed. It might sound dumb but I am experiencing a sort of grief right now
Yep. For years I’d scroll Reddit during my off-time. Sitting on the bus or in the train, when taking a short break from work.
There was always something interesting to read, and now it’s ruined.
I hope Lemmy picks up but it takes years to build up such a large userbase.
Couldn’t have said it better……
I’m also finding this.
RIP Apollo
Yep it’s done
Similar thing happened to Reddit sync, I get error 429 (too many requests). It's time to move over permanently to lemmy!
Rip 3PA's
Consider not getting a pro-rated refund from Christian if you see fit. If you got value out of the app, it's one last hurrah for Christian.
I’m my case, I can open the app but can’t change the app icon. Instantly crashes.
The same thing is happening to me!
It will forever have its own page
Yes RIP
Same. Come on Lempollo.
Yes, 1000 times yes

Same here /: unfortunately I didn’t get to download the wallpapers before it died which is kinda a bummer, but as a 12+ year Reddit user I’m still glad to have supported Christian one last time.
