Oh man I've tried to do this with my cats and they want nothing to do with being under the covers, ever! So cute!!

Aw man! Maybe you can try putting a small blanket on top when they're sleeping?

She will lay next to me for some nights, but I she doesn’t like the cover on top unless she’s by herself. Something about an escape plan lol
