I've been experiencing a bug whereby my comments are not showing up on https://kbin.social/m/RedditMigration. Perhaps on all of kbin, I'm too lazy to check.

In both cases I copied the comment a few hours later on my kbin account which has the same name, and it posted instantly.

Anyone have any insight into what's going on here? You can tell that this is happening to multiple people because the number of comments doesn't line up exactly, but on the other hand the majority of the comments are federating successfully, as I can see comments from lemmy.world users there.

This is the kind of bug that really kills engagement. I demand compensation for all the upvotes I missed out on ๐Ÿ˜‚

To clarify, changing the Nginx config would be something we'd need our admin to take care of, right? My understanding is limited.

There's an issue with unreliable federation making posts, comments, votes, subscriptions, etc sometimes not work properly that's being fixed in Lemmy 0.18.1.

I'm on mobile and I'm too lazy to find the bug report to link

Thanks for the info.

That also explains why lemmy.world users weren't having issues: because lemmy.world is still running 0.17.4
