A place to share information on emergency preparedness as it relates to disasters both natural and man-made.

Would you survive in the event of economic, political and social collapse? What natural disasters such as tornadoes, earthquakes or hurricanes are prevalent in your area? What can you do? What should you be doing now? What do you need to know/have?

This is a community for those who think that it's better to be safe than sorry, and that we need to start preparing now.

It depends. With climate change being in full swing, I expect more liberal/left-wing people to become preppers. It only makes sense.

True. Fearing a total collapse of civilization is a trait of them.

In reality society can't fully collapse, you'll always have your neighbors etc. But not every aspect of prepping is necessarily bad or problematic.

If the power was down for a significant period of time, you wouldn't have neighbours. You'd have competition for resources

a) You don't know that (look ukraine or whatnot, where they had to live without power for quite some times in certain cities)

b) There are generators, etc, which means you wouldn't have 0 power, but significantly less.
