What exactly are Reputation Points and how are they calculated? I've got mostly upvoted comments and a few boosts but I'm sitting at -3 and I'd like to know how it works and what it means.

@Peruvian_Skies As for reputation point on kbin, it's currently broken.

@Peruvian_Skies

Currently reputation is calculated from boosts and reduces (downvotes). Upvotes are favorites and not counted. This will be changed iirc.

Ah, that's not very intuitive. Thanks.

Maybe this will help indirectly: https://lemmy.one/post/366893

From what I've been able to find, it's something only kbin shows at the moment. As a Lemmy user, I don't even see "Reputation Points" for you or myself. Based on the description in the link, it sounds like it's just the sum of your comment score.

For you to be a -3 would mean something weird happened or maybe there's a super heavily downvoted comment somewhere that is bringing the overall total down even if most of your posts are positive.
