This is the place for discussing the potential collapse of modern civilization and the environment.
Collapse, in this context, refers to the significant loss of an established level or complexity towards a much simpler state. It can occur differently within many areas, orderly or chaotically, and be willing or unwilling. It does not necessarily imply human extinction or a singular, global event. Although, the longer the duration, the more it resembles a ‘decline’ instead of collapse.

I’m sure instead of figuring out early ways to fix the problem, they have their best minds thinking of ways to profit off it. 🙄
The construction industry has never been busier.
Mass deaths from natural disasters will be normalized the same way Covid deaths were normalized. We live in a post-Truth society.
American's sole pursuit of capital and growth/metastasis, against one another, and with zero actual regard beyond empty rhetoric, while dismissing/ignoring or even raging against the idea of prioritizing caring for one another is why I no longer have hope.
If we destroy ourselves, nothing of value will have been lost.
