You can move pretty freely in nature as long as you don't walk in peoples yards or on plantations. You can also pick berries and mushrooms. Since you want to go fishing, I think you need a license for that in most cases, and in some lakes fishing is tied to ownership of certain properties, so you need to check that out.

When I was in Germany, cash was king. Here card is king. Make sure you have debit or credit card.

Someone already mentioned the nature and fishing stuff, so I'll add that we're pretty held back and quiet. We don't often chit chat with random strangers, but don't hesitate to ask for help and direction when needed (and the majority of us is fluent in English)!

You sound like a decent calm person so do not do anything you dont want anybody do to you.Just enjoy the nature,leave no trash,do not disturb the animal life and makeno fire on rock outcrop and do not forget to get a fiskekort(fishing permit) or permit from the owner of the property for the lake you are fishing in.The sea shores are (almost)all free to fish.And the 5 biggest lakes are free too.Vänern, Vättern, Mälaren, Hjälmaren och Storsjön.

If you're close to Ljungby and want to try some traditional Swedish food, you should go to Gästgivaregården for lunch. New "dish of the day" every day, typically traditional Swedish cuisine. Check out their menu beforehand and go on a day that sounds like something you're interested in.

If you're close to Tiraholm and like fish - Tiraholms Fisk is a fantastic fish restaurant selling food made from their own lake fish farm right next to the restaurant

Germans and swedes are pretty common, you do fine. For fishing you need to buy a licence, just google and you will find the area that you visit. For allemansrätten, the freedom of roam, make sure you clean up after yourself. Pick up trash, dont leave fire pits, etc. Leave it better than you find it.

You debit card should work according to eu regulation, talk to your bank. We dont do cash any more.

Make sure you have a license for the area you fish in if necessary (there are usually signs). Don't loiter anything. And please be able to have a regular conversation in English.

Allemansrätten lets you go almost everywhere i nature. But not on growing crops and close to private homes. There is something called hemfridszon, a privacy zone.

If you spend time on private land, in some areas the owners will approach you and ask you about your business, why you are there etc. Where I live we always investigate strangers, mostly due to frequent thefts of wood and farmer's diesel and machinery, and of course littering, people throw away a lot of garbage along some roads.
