I'll be watching my yearly staples but would love some new suggestions as well. We could all use a decent dark one as we exit this hellscape of a summer.

My yearly list:

  • Hellraiser (1987)
  • Psycho (1960)
  • The Guest (2014)
  • Rosemary's Baby (1968)
  • Tucker and Dale vs. Evil (2010)
  • Cabin in the Woods (2011)
  • It follows (2014)

These are the ones I almost always see over the next two months and I sprinkle in a lot of others from brand new to very old ones. Let's hear yours! (And we can talk about them too!)

Sorry I'm going to be really lazy and just post a screenshot of my cosmic horror folder... I enjoyed most of these films and would watch again.

Event Horizon is one of my favorites but I have to call out The Void! I think that should be on my list because I have watched it every year for the past 3 or 4 since I discovered it. I can't even really put my finger on why it works so well (but I haven't tried too hard either, just enjoy the ride).

I'm due for a rewatch, I really enjoyed it. Dagon is also really good, and The Mist too.

[rec] is an amazing film. It's in Spanish (don't watch the bad Hollywood version) but it's well worth it.

It's one of my favourites and the sequels are also surprisingly good.

Get The Ritual on that list. It's cracking!
