A couple of hundred years ago the idea that people get sick because of little creatures so tiny no one could see them living inside sounded like the craziest conspiracy theory (kbin.social)

Most of the other explanations for why we get sick sounded just as crazy.

A couple hundred years ago people thought you got sick because you had ghosts in your blood. They weren't really all that far off honestly.
