MODERATORS

We're currently working on building out a card fetcher bot similar to Reddit's, that will post a reply with scryfall links to any cards you put in your post or comment in the following format: [[Card name]].

We'll keep all discussion here and announce in a separate post when the bot is live!

Fortunately we have a great package to use for this: https://github.com/SleeplessOne1917/lemmy-bot

Our plan is to make a new public repo for lemmy-cardfetcher-bot and open it up for public use and contribution.

Sounds incredible, thanks

Sounds great! Looking forward to it.

How will it work as far as adding it to an instance or community? I'd assume community mods would need to approve it for each community.

Do you have a public repo for the development of the bot? I work in software and would like to look and contribute if I can.

We will be running the bot on all communities at mtgzone.com, but any instance owner (or possibly community owner) can run the bot themselves on their own instance/community.

This is being worked on here: https://github.com/mikegioia/lemmy-cardfetcher-bot

I have a v1 of this ready to go tomorrow :D
