If you made it well enough you could really be on to something here, and it it included the current rosters every year you'd be a billionaire. I've never even watched football outside of a few movies and I'd play that.
I wonder if you can get away with calling it High Fantasy Football and claim you're just using the generic term "High Fantasy" as a genre description

What Fantasy Football should be
What Blood Bowl already is! Well actually I don't think it has summons but it is like this.
Now a summon that powerful could only be done by a full wizard line which is risky since summoning would allow for someone to tackle you same as of you had the ball, I'm just glad they changed the rules to stop players from dropping the summoning routine just before being tackles in order to draw a penalty
