I don't get it. Journey map is better in every single way. Looks better, more customizable, better waypoint system, probably more I'm forgetting.

Why would someone use xaeros if its the worse version of what's already available?

Xaeros is much lighter on resources and by default uses a much more modern design both graphical and in its codebase.

When modpacks are extremely large the minimap mod matters a lot in terms of performance too. The modpack doesn't even need to be huge for wanting a lighter minimap, as there are modpacks meant for weaker systems.

I'd prefer Xaero's as well. Especially as journey map crashes my ATM8 game regularly.

Xaeros just feels nicer. JourneyMap feels clunky and slow.
