The difference here is that president was attempting to become an autocrat while the only charges I’ve seen levied against Bazoum are vague mentions of “treason”. I can understand if the president is unpopular that this coup might have quite a few supporters but that’s what elections are for.

Egypt, 1952 and 2013. Turkey had a few military coups between 1960 and 2000, but they weren't really successful in establishing a free democracy. Probably others.
