The article title is false. The study shows that the opening of schools did not increase transmitability. The study did not address the closing of schools and transmitability rates.

Conservatives are upset because schools being closed means less school shootings which means less thoughts and prayers.

Sadly, they’re mostly just poor and lack options for childcare when school closes. It’s a hardship, so it’s easier to pretend the problem isn’t real and demand the schools open. And of course conservative politicians don’t hesitate to tell stupid people what they want to hear, as long as it delegitimizes government.
