How's the reception been of this game?

From what I've seen, relatively positive minus some server issues.

For me, those server issues just show the problem with most live service games and I'd rather play Diablo 1/2 or Grim Dawn for my ARPG fix. At least those games will still be playable in the future, even when the dev/publisher stops supporting them.

From people I follow, generally positive. A lot of early-game balance issues but it is good to see these being addressed rapidly. It's a beautiful game, with great voice acting and people generally enjoy the story. Probably the major complaints are the level scaling system that makes progress feel... weird and the limited endgame.

For me, I like it but I don't feel overly compelled to play it. I put in a little time and that feels like enough for me. That's not usally how I take on games, so even though I do not have specific complaints about it, I am not that excited about it. I regret paying extra for early admission. That amount of extra money was much better spent on Hades.
