Meta, Alphabet, and Amazon are some of the largest and most powerful firms in the global economy. Their size, value and the wealth of their founders raise serious concerns for distributive justice. To address these concerns, as well as the threats these firms pose to political liberties, perhaps we need to change how data is ‘owned’.

Yea ... for me, unless a post is obviously egregious, a downvote without an explicit counter or explanation is rubbish behaviour.

Also ... maybe wrong community?

The article does have a little bit of a political angle to it. Though not necessarily pertaining to Australian politics, probably would've been more appropriate in [email protected], but there's nothing wrong with it being here
