Felt like I should post something but don't really have any saved memes so here's a photo of my nail polish lol. Just started painting them a few days ago, and this is the first time I've done something besides straight black. I like it so far, definitely think I'll keep doing it and trying more colors in the future.

These are the national colors of New Zealand. Polish ones are red and white.

I definitely will, just need to wait for 786 to have some of the colors I'd need back in stock (or finding another brand to buy from would also work lol). I just like that they're vegan/cruelty free and also have a shop I can order directly from rather than going through amazon.

Very cute!! Quick tip (took me way too long to figure this out, so I wish someone would have just told me:
Wipe your nails with nail polish remover or wash them with dish soap before painting to get the oils off! That alone makes the paint stay unchipped for like 3 times longer!

Also consider using a transparent base coat. It makes the paint stay on even longer and come off in a single clean piece instead of the little chips.

Top coats are nice too, they prevent little scratches and nicks from happening and make your nails feel suuuper smooth and nice.

Thanks! This is the first time I used nail polish remover first and put a top coat on at the end and it feels way stronger and hasn't chipped at all yet. I'll have to get a base coat though, the brand I've been ordering from doesn't sell one but I heard good things about using one online too so I'll look for one. I appreciate all the advice lol, I'm still figuring out proper technique and stuff to prevent bubbling, or getting it all over my fingers, or having the top be textured like the brush, etc. This attempt felt way better than my first couple for sure, but I'm also definitely still learning lol.

Looks great :D Base coat is nice to make the finished polish look smoother. Some are less toxic (better for your nails) than colour coats. Also it makes is easier to clean the nails when taking off the polish than not using the base coat. The number one cause of bubbles is applying another coat too soon before the previous one dries. Also, shake the colour polishes, but don't shake the base or top ones - shaking those tends to cause bubbles. My best tip is to paint your nails under good light, so you can see what you're doing better. If you notice bubbles in real time when you're applying polish, you have a wee bit of time to apply another stroke to get rid of them
