So, how does the replay review thing work? Is that a new thing for this World Cup? I don't think I've seen it before...
I wish I was me now but it was March 2012 instead, so I could go see my current obsession Electrelane play at the Corner. Not only did I not even listen to them back then, but I would've been too young to go anyway smh
Go Seabot!
Alright brains trust, anyone got recommendations for somewhere to take a dad in his 60s for dins around the Hawthorn area? No cuisine preference but somewhere you can hold a conversation. Unfortunately it isn't my hood so I'm pretty unfamiliar.

Morning peoples. Does everyone brush before or after they have breakfast? It's 99% of the time before for me.

Legend!
Rest day from exercise for me today and thank goodness too. I caught a chill at work yesterday. There's a big roller door that's kept open during the day for deliveries, and even though it's got heavy plastic strips hanging there, that freezing cold wind was whipping straight in. I was working at a prep bench right near there. I started to feel the impact of that fall I had a couple of days ago too and mopping the floor became like an uphill battle of exhaustion. Then by the time I was on the bus coming home I'd started violently shivering.
Woke up during the night and I was freezing and everything hurt and I could hardly move. Managed to get back to sleep after putting on an extra layer of clothes, beanie and hoodie, and took some pain killers. And cranked the heater up. Feel a lot better this morning just exhausted.
Edit: got to talk to the boss about closing that door during the day when it's like that, even though it's a huge inconvenience for everyone. Also, can anyone recommend any reasonably priced hoodies that are actually warm? A lot of them seem so cheaply made and aren't actually warm, just a layer (like the one I was wearing unfortunately).
Is it an option to wear a men’s hoodie? A lot of the time women’s clothes are a lot thinner and crappier for the exact same thing.
If you don’t overheat in them maybe you could also try some thermals or woolen spencers, or a belly band. There are also heated vests made for warehouse workers
I hate the men's vs women's clothing quality thing so much. It's so prevalent in work wear as well. Sadly by having a rather "womanly" figure men's clothes usually feel like arse on me.
"It's so prevalent in work wear as well."
It really is! I really noticed when I decided to buy nonslip steel caps for work.. the women's ones had pink details (because that's so important🙄) but were obviously not as well made, and as for the "nonslip" sole.. guffaws derisively
You're right you know; I wear men's trackies because in general I found they're warmer, better made and cheaper. So I wouldn't have a problem wearing men's hoodies.
