like in this post, how do you use another language for configuration? Do you use another language to generate others? Am I misunderstanding something? I am very confused

I think the misunderstanding comes from the word language. They are not programming languages like c# and typescript, but rather data-serialization languages.

huh this post just gave me a weird idea:

what if .cfg files could be replaced with .nix files?

tbh I don't have any deeper thoughts about this as it just popped into my head just now
