I was born to Islamic parents and Islam was all I knew growing up. I would pray to Allah multiple times a day, observe Ramadan etc. When I attended college I joined an agnostic student group that was open to debate from people of other faiths. Eventually I denounced Islam and My mother found my laptop which showed a group discussion pertaining to a theology question. She asked me if I was still muslim and I stupidly said no. So they gave me an hour to get all my things and leave the house so I'm currently camped out of a public library writing this post (although I can't stay past hours)

Ive been dumpster diving for food and either I'm incredibly unlucky or those youtube videos are fake because I've only been able to eat expired garbage. I don't want to sound like I'm complaining but it's getting awful to throw up the food you've just consumed so I'm looking for work.

I'm 19, able bodied and can work for any amount. Just want to eat fresh food at this point. Sorry if the formatting is sloppy let me know if you need any clarification am getting pretty desperate LOL

see if there are any plasma donation centers in your area you can make at least 100$ a week easy money.

A vehicle IS a valid shelter that can be thought of as a starter home. Once you have work and some money saved up do not look for apartment to rent. Instead put down some cash on a loan for box truck or high top van to convert into livable space. Check out cheaprvliving on youtube for more on that.

Go to the mosque where your parents pray regularly and tell the imam. That dude will not only help you out looking for a local job and a place to stay even though you aren't a Muslim, he will ban your parents if you ask him to, for violation of one of the foundational tenants of the Quran.

If the imam doesn't do that, then the teachings of Muhammad, where being kind to others who are in need, was never in their hearts and can go fuck themselves.

Please update this thread after you do this.

Get free meals at your nearest Sikh temple there are a bunch in Toronto. Food is free for anyone in any circumstance.

Ok, you need a job, you are 19. Go apply at security companies (just go to their websites apply online), in TO you have a lot of choice. There is a cost to get your license but some companies like Securitas, Garda, and maybe a couple others will teach you what you need to know to take the test. The course is a week unless you do it online then you can get it done in a few days.

Another option. Contact cleaning companies, again lots of choice and they do not require you to have a license, if you clean in government or high security areas then you would require a security clearance.

Third option. Contact construction companies, start out as a cleaner/gofor (gofor as in "Go for this or that item) you will have options to see what construction jobs are more in demand in the area and and what you think you might want to concentrate on, then in a year or 3 you can go to college and learn that trade.

As for food, there are some good suggestions in here, don't forget the other food kitchens that serve hot breakfast/lunch/supper, even if it's a xtian based org they will help.

Talk to your student services at your school. Ask about emergency housing.

DM me. I can transfer some money to keep you afloat for a few days.

Edit: I've transferred some money to flyweather. Should help with food at the very least, but they're still looking for work.

Illegal eviction. They can't throw you out without proper notice. Report them.

I can't speak to laws in Canada, but adult children generally do not have the same rights as tenants with a lease.

Several search results suggest that any 19 year old Canadian can be kicked out of their parents' house with no notice.

Not sure where you're looking. A minimum of reasonable notice is needed.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago

And if that isn't followed OPs only recourse is to take them to court. He won't be able to take advantage of the landlord and tenant board or the rental housing enforcement unit since he's almost certainly not a tenant.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 days ago

Correct, there is generally no tenant agreement in place to offer protections

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 days ago

It should be 3 months notice at least for adult children.

Reporting is one thing, but until this gets resolved, OP still needs food. And being forcefully allowed back in under police protection doesn't help.

What law is that

Your mother’s actions are the prime example why atheists are highly critical of religion.
