If I made a community and add a mod am I still the leading mod or can they kick me off the community? (lemmy.world)

I'm a mod (but not the community creator) and can't see any way I could do that. In fact there's no real way to interact with the other mods at all other than private messaging individually.

What it looks like I can do though and probably shouldn't be able to, is appoint other mods. I can also change the community name and description etc.

Still investigating myself tbh but hopefully that helps give you a bit of an idea.

Thanks for explaining what you have figured out so far. Good to know those weaknesses as well.

Very interesting.

I am happy to learn things you are finding out. I am a newbie to the whole lemmy and mod/creator thing myself. As a community creator this is what I see as options on my end: (on Android phone)

Just did a bit more poking around in the interests of Science. On regular user posts I can delete the post, lock it or pin it, and I can either ban the user from the community or appoint as mod (which are right next to each other lol well done whoever designed this UI).

On YOUR posts or the posts of other mods, all I can do is lock or pin the post. No option to remove it, as well as nothing I can do to you as users.

So seems like you're pretty protected as head mod, but if one of the other mods goes off the rails you're also the only one who can do anything about it.
